Where is the PlayBetter Summer Sale 2026? The PlayBetter Summer Sale is live at playbetter.com. It covers SkyTrak+, SkyTrak ST MAX, Foresight GC3, Rapsodo MLM2PRO, and full simulator packages. No announced end date.

The PlayBetter Summer Sale has been running for two weeks now. That’s unusual for a seasonal sale — most of these run a weekend, maybe a week, and they’re done. This one is still going. I checked this morning, and every deal is still live.

No announced end date either. Could be they’re running it until inventory runs out. Could be this is just the new normal pricing for some of these products. Either way, here’s what’s actually worth buying and what you should skip.

SkyTrak+ at $1,495 — Buy This If You Want a Camera LM Without a Subscription

This is the headline deal. The SkyTrak+ normally sells for $2,495. It’s been sitting at $1,495 since the Father’s Day sale, which means this is effectively the new price. The $2,495 MSRP is fiction at this point.

The SkyTrak+ is a camera-based launch monitor that sits next to the ball and takes photos of impact. It measures ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, spin axis, club path, face angle, and club speed. No subscription required for basic use — you get the SkyTrak range and practice modes for free. If you want GSPro or E6 Connect, those are separate subscriptions through the software companies, not through SkyTrak.

The catch is that the SkyTrak+ is effectively discontinued. SkyTrak replaced it with the ST MAX, which adds GOLFTEC speed training and a few other features. The + is being cleared out. When PlayBetter runs out of stock, that’s it.

If you want a photometric launch monitor with no subscription lock-in, this is the buy. If you need GOLFTEC integration or want the newest model, get the ST MAX.

SkyTrak ST MAX at $1,995 — The Price Floor

The ST MAX launched at $2,995. It’s been at $1,995 since June — $1,000 off and effectively the street price now. The ST MAX is the same camera hardware as the SkyTrak+ with added GOLFTEC training features and a slightly different enclosure.

At $1,995, the ST MAX is the best mid-range launch monitor on the market. It does ball and club data, works with GSPro and E6 Connect, and doesn’t require a subscription for basic functionality. The GOLFTEC integration is genuinely useful if you’re working on your swing — you get video analysis and drills that are usually locked behind a $200/month GOLFTEC membership.

The ST MAX at $1,995 is the price. It will not be cheaper on Black Friday. Waiting saves you nothing.

SkyTrak+ Complete Studio at $3,995 — Best Value in All-In-One Packages

This is the deal that flies under the radar. The SkyTrak+ Complete Studio package includes the launch monitor, a PlayBetter SimStudio enclosure, impact screen, hitting mat, putting mat, side barriers, and an Optoma projector. All of it for $3,995.

The launch monitor alone is $1,495. That means you’re getting the full simulator setup — enclosure, screen, mat, projector — for $2,500. A comparable Carl’s Place enclosure package runs $1,800-$2,200 without a projector. Add a $700 short-throw projector and you’re at $2,500-$2,900.

If you’re starting from scratch and your budget is under $5,000 for a complete simulator, this is the package. The enclosure quality is solid, the projector is adequate for the price point, and the SkyTrak+ is a proven launch monitor. You can upgrade components later.

Foresight dropped the GC3 from $6,999 to $5,249 permanently. This is a price cut driven by competition from the Uneekor EYE XO (now $4,999 with camera upgrade) and the Bushnell Launch Pro ecosystem.

The GC3 with LINK gives you ball and club data with no subscription. The LINK connector lets you use a tablet or PC wirelessly. It works with FSX Play, FSX 2020, GSPro, and E6 Connect. Accuracy is tournament-grade — the same optical system used in the GCQuad, just with three cameras instead of four.

At $5,249, the GC3 is the best launch monitor under $6,000 for people who want maximum accuracy and don’t want to pay for a subscription. The GC3 will not be cheaper on Black Friday. This is the new price.

Rapsodo MLM2PRO at $599.99 — The Budget Camera Pick

The MLM2PRO dropped from $699 to $599.99. It’s a camera-based launch monitor that uses marked balls (the RPT balls are included) to measure spin axis. It gives you ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, spin axis, club speed, and club path.

The MLM2PRO is the best option under $700 for people who want camera-based accuracy. It works with E6 Connect, Awesome Golf, and the Rapsodo app. The subscription is $200/year, which includes premium software access and course play.

At $599.99, it’s a solid buy. The Rapsodo app is good for practice — it has a driving range mode, approach shot mode, and full course play. The marked ball requirement is annoying but manageable. You get three RPT balls in the box and replacements are $30 for a three-pack.

What About the Uneekor EYE MINI?

The directive says $2,999 for the EYE MINI, but I checked PlayBetter this morning and the EYE MINI is at $4,500. The $2,999 price was from the Uneekor Independence Day sale which ended July 7. That sale is over.

The EYE MINI LITE is $2,750 on PlayBetter right now. That’s a solid price for a camera-based launch monitor with Uneekor’s software suite. The LITE has the same camera hardware as the full EYE MINI but with software limitations — you get the range and basic practice modes, but advanced features like the AI swing analysis and club data require the full EYE MINI or the Refine+ subscription.

If you want the EYE MINI at $2,999, you missed the Independence Day sale. Keep an eye on Uneekor’s Labor Day sale or check certified pre-owned inventory.

What About the Garmin R50?

The summer sale banner on PlayBetter mentions $500 off Garmin Approach R50 SimStudio packages. The R50 is normally $4,995 for the standalone unit. The SimStudio packages bundle the R50 with an enclosure, screen, mat, and projector. The $500 off is a real discount, but the R50 is a premium product at a premium price point regardless.

The R50 is a self-contained simulator — it has a built-in display, speaker, and processor. You don’t need a PC or a projector. It works indoors and outdoors. The accuracy is excellent for a radar-based unit, though it struggles with spin axis measurement inside under 8 feet of ball flight.

At $500 off package pricing, the R50 is worth considering if you want a turnkey solution that doesn’t require a PC. But the SkyTrak+ at $1,495 is a better value if you’re building a sim on a budget.

The Verdict

The PlayBetter Summer Sale is the biggest live deal event right now. The SkyTrak+ at $1,495 is the best value in camera-based launch monitors, the ST MAX at $1,995 is the right price for the mid-range, and the GC3 at $5,249 is the permanent price that won’t go lower.

No end date has been announced. The fact that this sale has been running for two weeks without an expiration suggests PlayBetter may be using “Summer Sale” as a sustained promotional period rather than a flash event. But I would not count on these prices lasting indefinitely — the SkyTrak+ stock is finite and the clearance pricing reflects that.

If you’re buying a launch monitor right now, buy the SkyTrak+ at $1,495 or the SkyTrak ST MAX at $1,995. Both are at their effective price floors. Waiting for Black Friday will not save you money on these products.

If you’re buying a complete simulator package, buy the SkyTrak+ Complete Studio at $3,995. It’s the best value in an all-in-one setup under $5,000.

If you want the best accuracy without a subscription, buy the GC3 at $5,249. The price is permanent and the GC3 is the best launch monitor under $6,000.
