Yes, Wolf Creek Golf Club in Mesquite, Nevada is available on GOLF+ VR. Famous for dramatic elevation changes, sweeping desert vistas, and holes carved through towering red rock canyons, this is one of the most visually spectacular courses in the entire GOLF+ catalog. You can access it as individual DLC for about $10, or through the GOLF+ Pass subscription ($9.99/month).

Wolf Creek is the course I recommend to every GOLF+ owner looking for their first paid DLC after buying the base game. It is the visual flagship of the platform. The elevation changes, the red rock formations, the sheer audacity of the design — none of it translates to a flat screen. You need VR to understand what Wolf Creek is doing.

Course Quality Assessment

The GOLF+ team built Wolf Creek with the same love and attention they gave Pebble Beach. The red rock canyons, the desert vegetation, the dramatic tee-to-green elevation shifts — all of it is modeled with precision. In VR, standing on an elevated tee looking down at a fairway that drops 100 feet through a slot canyon is a genuine thrill.

The depth perception is the star here. Wolf Creek has some of the most extreme elevation changes in American golf. The par-4 5th hole drops dramatically from tee to fairway. The par-3 11th plays downhill so steeply that the green looks like a postage stamp from the tee. In VR, you can actually see the fall line and club accordingly. On a screen, you would guess and hope.

The course is not for the faint of heart. Wolf Creek is a resort course designed to be memorable rather than fair. Balls can roll into collection areas you cannot see. The camera angles on some holes make it hard to pick a target. That is part of the fun. You are here for the experience, not the score.

The controller physics trade-off matters less on Wolf Creek than on tighter courses. The fairways are generous. The trouble is mostly around the greens. You can swing freely off the tee and let the VR immersion carry the round.

The main warning is that Wolf Creek can be disorienting in VR. The extreme elevation changes and blind shots mean you will spend more time looking at the flyover cam than on other courses. Some players report motion sensitivity on the more dramatic holes. If you are prone to VR motion sickness, take breaks.

How to Access

Individual DLC ($10-12): Buy Wolf Creek as a standalone course on the Meta Quest Store or in-game. It was listed as “Coming soon” on Steam as of mid-2026, so availability may have expanded.

GOLF+ Pass ($9.99/month or $99.99/year): Subscribe for access to all courses including Wolf Creek.

Is It Worth It?

Wolf Creek is the best visual spectacle course in the GOLF+ catalog after Pebble Beach. It is not a course for serious practice or score-chasing. It is a course for experiencing what VR golf can do that screen-based sims cannot.

For $10, it is a no-brainer. If you own GOLF+ and do not own Wolf Creek, you are missing the single best argument for VR golf over traditional sims. Buy it.
