Yes, Pebble Beach Golf Links is available on GOLF+ VR. It is one of the flagship licensed courses on the platform. You can access it as individual DLC for about $10, or through the GOLF+ Pass subscription ($9.99/month). The VR version of Pebble Beach is arguably the most immersive way to play it without being there in person.

Pebble Beach is ranked No. 2 in our course database and sits behind only Augusta National in the pantheon of American public golf. For VR players, this is the course that sells headsets. And for good reason.

Course Quality Assessment

The GOLF+ team built Pebble Beach using drone flyovers, satellite data, and on-site photography. The result is the closest thing to walking the real course that most people will ever experience. The VR immersion factor transforms Pebble Beach in ways a screen-based sim cannot touch.

The 7th hole — the short par-3 hugging the Pacific — is the standout. In VR, you stand on that tee box and look straight down at the ocean. The depth perception is perfect. You can see the carry distance to the green in three dimensions. It is genuinely breathtaking.

The 18th hole with its famous ocean-side approach plays beautifully in VR. The scale of the fairway sweeping left along the water reads correctly. You understand why pros aim for the left side.

The trade-off is physics. GOLF+ uses controller tracking, not ball data. Your mishits will not feel like real mishits because the controller does not twist in your hands the way a real club does. The swing is an approximation. A very good approximation, but an approximation.

If you want the most realistic swing feedback, you need GSPro or E6 Connect with a launch monitor. If you want to feel like you are standing on the 7th tee at Pebble Beach without a private jet, GOLF+ is the answer.

How to Access

You have two options:

Individual DLC ($10-12): Buy Pebble Beach as a standalone course on the Meta Quest Store. You own it forever. This is the right choice if you only want a few courses.

GOLF+ Pass ($9.99/month or $99.99/year): Subscribe and get access to all current and future courses, including Pebble Beach. This is the better value if you plan to play more than one or two courses regularly. The pass also includes discounts on equipment in the in-game store.

There is no tier system on GOLF+. You either own the course or you do not. No gated content, no “Premium” versus “Standard” tiers. Simple.

Is It Worth It?

For $10, experiencing Pebble Beach in VR is the best value in virtual golf. The real thing costs $600-plus and requires a plane ticket. The VR version gives you the same views, the same routing, and the same feeling of standing on the edge of the continent.

The catch is that you are swinging a VR controller, not a real club. If you are a serious golfer looking to practice for a real round, the simulator versions on GSPro or E6 Connect will serve you better because they track actual ball data.

If you want to enjoy Pebble Beach from your living room on a Tuesday night, GOLF+ is the answer.
