Jack Nicklaus designed Muirfield Village as his tribute to the great courses of the world. He took the best elements of Augusta National, St Andrews, and Royal Melbourne and wove them into a single course in Dublin, Ohio. The result is a course that is both familiar and original.

Muirfield Village has hosted the Memorial Tournament since 1976. It is a player favorite because it is fair, demanding, and beautiful. On E6 Connect, the professionally mapped version gives you the full Memorial experience.

What Tier You Need

Muirfield Village is in the Expanded tier ($600/year). It is not available as a premium add-on. You need the full library subscription to access it.

If you are on the Core tier ($300/year), check the current rotating library. Muirfield Village may appear in your selection depending on the rotation.

For a full breakdown of every tier, read the Best Courses on E6 Connect guide.

Why Muirfield Village Works on E6

Muirfield Village is a parkland course with rolling terrain, tree-lined fairways, and water in play on multiple holes. The design is a blend of American parkland and strategic links principles. The greens are large and undulating, and the approaches require precision.

E6’s LIDAR data captures the contour of the land. The course sits on rolling Ohio farmland, and the elevation changes affect every shot. The 2nd hole plays uphill. The 3rd hole plays downhill. The 14th hole drops 50 feet from tee to fairway.

The greens are the defining feature. Nicklaus built large, complex greens that require the correct angle of approach. On E6, the internal contours are accurate. You can see the ridges, the tiers, and the collection areas that make the greens so difficult to read.

How to Access It

Open E6 Connect. Navigate to the course library. Search for “Muirfield Village.” Select the course and load it. The Memorial Tournament setup is the default configuration.

The Holes That Shine

The 12th Hole — The Par 3 Over Water: A 185-yard par 3 that plays over a pond to a green protected by bunkers. The pin position determines the difficulty. On E6, the water carries are accurate and the green reads as fast as the real version.

The 14th Hole — The Downhill Par 4: A 360-yard par 4 that drops 50 feet from the tee to the fairway. The drive is downhill and the approach is to a green that sits in a hollow. On E6, the elevation change requires a club adjustment that is easy to misjudge.

The 15th Hole — The Par 5 with the Creek: A 505-yard par 5 that is reachable in two if you can carry the creek that cuts across the fairway. The green is narrow and protected by bunkers. On E6, the decision to go or lay up is the defining moment of the round.

The 18th Hole — The Nicklaus Finisher: A 444-yard par 4 with water on the left side of the fairway and a pond guarding the green. The approach is to a green set in an amphitheater with the clubhouse behind it. On E6, this is one of the most satisfying finishing holes in sim golf.

How It Compares to Other Versions

GSPro has community builds of Muirfield Village that are playable. The LIDAR quality varies. E6’s version is professionally licensed with higher resolution data and more accurate green contours.

If you are preparing for a real round at Muirfield Village or you want to experience the course as the pros play it, the E6 version is the better choice. The green slopes are more precise, the fairway contours are more accurate, and the course plays closer to the real thing.

The Value

Muirfield Village is included in the Expanded tier. If you are a Nicklaus fan or a Memorial Tournament follower, this course is a reason to buy Expanded on its own. It is one of the best modern parkland courses on the platform.
