The green complexes are enormous and undulating, with significant internal contour. The LIDAR captures the big shapes and the false fronts, making the greens play as difficult as they should.

How It Plays

Erin Hills is a long, open course that plays firm and fast. The fairways are generous but the angles matter. The par-4s are the strength of the course, with most of them playing over 450 yards from the tips.

The par-3 9th hole plays downhill to a green set against a ridge. The par-5 14th hole is reachable in two for long hitters but requires a precise carry over a waste area.
